Mix the beaten egg and buttermilk in a jug. Combine flour, sugar and cinnamon powder in a bowl, make a well in the center. Pour in the egg buttermilk mixture and whisk until smooth. Stir in the shredded apples and raisins.
Heat a frying pan and brush the base with butter. Use a tablespoon to scoop batter to the pan, cook in batches for 2-3 minutes until small bubbles appear on the surface.
Carefully flip and continue to cook for 1-2 minutes until cooked through.
