Healthy, paleo, dairy free, refined sugar free and DELICIOUS. I eat a version of this almost everyday. I switch the berries with other fruits, nuts, peanut butter dip, cocoa or chocolate chunks but you always need the frozen banana as a base. It is so quick to whip up and really has the texture or icecream.
Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Makes: 1 Bowl
Ingredients 1-2 Frozen bananas
1/2 C blueberries
1/2 C raspberries
1/4 C almond milk
1 TBSP sunflower seeds
2 TBSP PB2 or Walnut Butter
Put the frozen bananas and berries into a blender.
Pour in the milk as it is blending.
Scoop into a bowl and top with sunflower seeds and ready made PB2 or nutbutter of choice.
Bowl of heaven
Eat your 'icecream' immediately.
Add whatever toppings you like, chia seeds, honey, yogurt and chocolate are all great options.
Try adding a handful of spinach whilst blending for an extra healthy boost.
PB2 is powdered peanuts, when mixed with water it becomes peanut butter but has half the calories and fat.
I bulk freeze bananas whenever they are ripe to ensure I always have 'icecream' on hand.
