Thick, gooey, sweet and creamy, this combination is both nutritious and easy to digest, making it a perfect way to start your day - especially on a slow weekend morning when a bowl of healthy ‘comfort food’ sounds like a plan!
Cooking Time: 50 minutes
Ingredients 1/3 cup brown rice
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
2 cups water/almond milk/oat milk
1 large very ripe banana, chopped
2 tablespoons tahini
Place brown rice, cinnamon, turmeric and water (or milk) in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Reduce to a simmer and cover for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Once the rice is cooked, mix through the banana and tahini until warmed through.
