Banana Choc Bites

Sometimes the easiest recipes can be the most the impressive, especially when the kids get involved. These chocolate coated and frozen banana slices are a lovely treat with the bonus of a real fruit addition. They're almost like a mini banana and chocolate ice cream.



Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Freezing Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 2-3

Ingredients
1 large ripe banana
30-40g cooking chocolate
Sprinkles
Baking parchment

Method
Slice the banana into thick rounds.
Place a sheet of baking parchment onto a moveable flat service that can fit into your freezer. I used a small side plate.



Melt the chocolate in a bowl. If you have a microwave this is the easiest way but you can also melt in a bowl over a gently simmering pan of water.
Dip the banana slices into the melted chocolate until fully covered.



Place the banana slices onto the parchment paper and leave gaps between each one.
Scatter over some sprinkles to decorate before the chocolate sets.



Place in the freezer for about 20 minutes until the chocolate is set and the banana frozen inside.
