Napoli sauce is a recipe everyone should perfect. It's the base to so many dishes, the options for this sauce really are endless. Make it in big batches and store it to always have pasta/
pizza/
beans /baked eggs (the list goes on!) sauce at your finger tips.
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 1 liter sauce
Ingredients
3 garlic cloves
1 brown onion
1 hot chilli
3 tins quality Italian tomatoes
1 tbsp olive oil
Season to taste
Method
Sauté the finely diced onions, garlic and chilli in the olive oil until aromatic - about 3 minutes. Once the vegetables start to soften pour in the tomatoes.
Bring to the boil then allow to simmer on a low heat for 10-15 minutes.
Remove from the heat and serve hot ladled over pasta, smothered onto a pizza base or poured into a
baked eggs dish.
To store this versatile sauce pour piping hot sauce into sterilized jars and keep in a cool place.
