Cake Batter Fudge

Cake Batter Fudge is amazingly delicious. If you're a fan of licking the bowl after mixing the ingredients for a cake or have a love for cookie dough, I recommend making this fudge. The combination of cake batter, chocolate chips and sprinkles makes this fudge look colourful, appealing and it's almost as addictive as eating cookie dough... almost.

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: 3 hours
Makes: 25 servings

2 1/4 cups of a super moist vanilla cake mix,
2 cup of icing sugar,
1/2 cup of butter,
1/4 cup of milk,
2/3 cup of chocolate chips (can be white, dairy or dark chocolate),
1/2 cup of sprinkles (don't use the 100's and 1000's as the colour tends to bleed from them into the mixture).

Line an 8 or 9 inch square baking tin with aluminium foil and set aside.

In a large microwave safe bowl, mix together the sifted icing sugar and the cake mix.

Add the milk and the butter to the mix and, without stirring, microwave the ingredients until the butter has melted.

Remove from the microwave and begin stirring the ingredients together.

Gently mix in the chocolate chips and sprinkles.

Pour the fudge into the prepared baking tin and smooth and level the fudge with the back of a spoon.

Chill for at least 3 hours, or until firm, and cut into squares. These fudge pieces can be stored in an air tight container for up to 1 week.

Thank you so much for this recipe! I hate to bake with an oven. Also, I have 3 boxes of cake mix taking up space in my kitchen cupboard. Furthermore, it is always nice to have something sweet as a little treat. A super delicious and useful recipe!
