Cheese and Bacon Pizza

I love ordering pizza, I got into the habit of ordering pizza because it was so quick and easy, it would even be delivered within 45 minutes or less. The pizzas that arrived were of questionable quality and I knew I could do better. This pizza took less than 30 minutes from ingredients to piping hot on the plate and is delicious.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15-20 minutes
Serves: 4

Pizza Dough
1 cup SR Flour
1 cup Greek yoghurt

Pizza Sauce
1 400g can crushed or diced tomatoes
2 tsp basil, dried
1/2 tsp garlic powder

150 g bacon, diced
180 g bocconcini

Preheat oven to 220C.
Pour the tin of tomatoes into a saucepan and add the basil and garlic. Cook on medium heat for 5 minutes, stiring occasionally, while the flavours infuse and the sauce thickens.

While the sauce is cooking, combine yoghurt and flour in a bowl, mixing until it forms a dough ball.
Place dough ball on a floured surface and knead for approx 5 minutes until smooth. If the dough is too sticky add more flour until the dough is manageable.

Roll out into desired pizza shape and apply sauce to the base.

Apply toppings.

Bake for 15-20 minutes until cheese has melted and base is cooked completely.
Slice into pieces and serve immediately.

You could add any toppings you like to this pizza.

Conventional oven.
Please use 200C for a fan forced oven
