Cheese and Bacon Pull-Aparts

Everyone loves the smell of fresh bread. This pull-apart recipe is perfect for a weekend lunch or after school snack.



Preparation Time: 2 hours
Cooking Time: 20minutes
Makes: 6-10 individual pullaparts

Ingredients
280ml tap water
1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon salt
500g white flour
1 teaspoon bread improver
1 tablespoon milk powder
1 teaspoons yeast
4-5 rashers diced bacon
cup grated cheese

Method
Into your breadmaker bowl add the ingredients above. In the order listed above. Yeast should always be the last ingredient in.
Set your breadmaker for dough and let your machine do the work for you. It kneads and does the first prove. My dough cycle takes 90 minutes.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees (fan forced).
Turn out dough onto a floured benchtop and then knock out excess air with a few quick kneading motions.
Using a knife, slice dough into long strips and then cut into pieces approximately 3 cm square.

Roll these into balls and arrange in groups on your baking trays. Cover with diced bacon and grated cheese.

Cover baking trays and leave in a warm place for around 20min. Dough will join slightly and puff up.

After second prove is complete bake for 15-20min at 180 degrees.
The texture is lovely and fluffy and the balls pull apart with little resistance. Underside shows the lovely bake colour.

I used a breadmaker for this recipe, however this recipe works just as well if you want to manually mix and knead.
