Chilli Sesame Dukka

This beautfiul chilli and sesame dukka is brilliant on eggs or makes a great crunchy coating for fish or meats. I also like to sprinkle it through feta salads or eat it with fresh bread and olive oil.



Make a big jar of this dukka and always have it on hand! Dukka can be very expensive in the store, make it for a quarter of the price at home and mix up the nuts and spices.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 1 small jar

Ingredients
Handful of salted almonds
1 tbsp sesame seeds
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp paprika



Method
Measure out the paprika, salt, chilli and sesame seeds and place them in a jar.

I like to place them straight into the jar I store them in to save mess and to make the perfect amount.


Tumble the almonds, cumin seeds and coriander seeds into a mortar and pestle or onto a bread board and chop or crush until they are broken up but not a powder.

Scoop the crushed mix into the jar with the powder spices and give it a good shake!

The dukka is now ready to be served.

Served here a top of eggs for breakfast!


Served with hash browns, spinach, tomatoes, toast and bacon. A perfect combination!
