Chocolate freckles are such a simple sweet that still manage to bring a lot of delight. You only need two ingredients and you'll have your own delicious freckles any time. They make great little gifts, or can just be kept for those times you need a sweet pick me up.
Ingredients Milk, dark, or white chocolate
100s & 1000s
Set up a pot on the stove with water, and heat on high to boil. Make sure you have a heatproof bowl that will sit on the bowl, without touching the water.
Once the water has boiled turn the heat to medium-low. Add the chocolate to the bowl on top of the saucepan, and stir. Once most of the chocolate has melted remove from the heat and stir until the chocolate is smooth.
Fill a piping bag with the melted chocolate, and snip a small hole in it.
Pipe small circles onto some baking paper. Pipe them slightly smaller than you want your freckles, they will flatten out.
Once you've finished piping, shake the paper a little so that they flatten.
Sprinkle 100s and 1000s over the chocolate, and then leave on the bench top to set.
