Coconut Brownies

Many of us love desserts, especially when we know that they are healthy and rich in nutrients. The coconut brownies taste very similar to their original version but have less sweetness. These brownies contain more healthy fats, including the coconut oil, and more protein comparing to the brownies bought in a supermarket or made a traditional way at home.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 25-30 minutes
Serves: 16

Ingredients
cup coconut oil
cup cacao powder
6 eggs
cup coconut milk (can be replaced with water)
1 tsp vanilla extract
tsp salt
cup raw honey
cup coconut flour
cup coconut flakes


Method
Heat oven to 180C, and place a parchment paper inside 20 cm square baking tin.
Add the coconut oil and raw cacao to a small skillet or a saucepan and stir over medium heat for about a minute until smooth. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk the eggs, coconut milk, vanilla, salt and honey.

Whisk in the chocolate mixture.

Then, add the coconut flour and whisk until well combined.
Pour the final mixture into lined tin and flatten the top a bit with a large spoon. Then, sprinkle with the coconut flakes.


Coconut Brownies

Bake for about 25-30 minutes. The brownies could be served warm or cold, either way they are delicious.
