Ingredients 1 large onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, crushed
2 chillis, diced
500 g packet pasta spirals
600 ml thickened cream
150-200 g bacon, diced
1 cup grated cheese
1 tbs oil
salt and pepper, to taste
Cook the pasta, following the packet directions.
Meanwhile, heat the oil in a frying pan and gently cook the onions, garlic and chilli until the onions have softened and the mixture is fragrant.
Add the bacon to the pan and cook for 2 minutes before adding the cream to the pan. Let simmer until the pasta has finished cooking.
Drain the pasta, then, return it to its saucepan. Sprinkle the cheese over the pasta and pour the sauce into the pan. Stir to combine.
The mixture may appear runny at first but it will thicken as it cools, usually after 5-10 minutes.
