Creamy French Two Mustard Chicken

Creme fraiche, mustard, easy, chicken

We all have a few recipes that we turn to when time is tight but you want guaranteed success. This creamy French two mustard chicken is mine.

The creme fraiche gives this easy dish a creamy feel without being too heavy. The mustards ensure you avoid being bland and the peas give a fresh pop.

You definitely don't need to be concerned about exact quantities as it's idiot proof and easy to adapt with extra ingredients you might have to hand.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 2-3 servings

1 onion
2 chicken breasts
300ml creme fraiche
2 heaped tsp wholgrain mustard
1 heaped tsp French mustard
Handful frozen peas
Salt and pepper to season

Cut onion into long slices, if they're too small they will disintegrate when you cook them.

Fry the onions until almost soft and starting to caramelise.
Add diced chicken breast and stir fry until cooked through.

Add in the mustard, salt and pepper and stir through.
Add the peas.
Lastly, add the creme fraiche and cook until the dish has reduced a little.

This easy dinner is great served with rice, pasta or fresh new potatoes and a chilled glass of dry white wine.
