This recipe is great when you have an impromptu get together with friends and you need to throw together some quick finger food. With five ingredients and taking under an hour to prepare and cook, you'll be wowed at how easy and yummy these Crispy Cream Cheese Bites can be.
Ingredients 1 250g tub of vegan cream cheese
1tsp garlic powder
1tsp onion powder
1/2tsp ground cayenne pepper
1 pk of Gow Gee Pastry Wrappers
Pinch of Salt
Pour 2cm deep of vegetable oil in a frypan and allow to heat while you make the cream cheese bites
In a medium sized mixing bowl add cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder and cayenne pepper and mix until combined.
Add 1/2tsp of cream cheese mixture into the middle of one of the pastry wrappers and dab a small amount of water around the edges.
Fold wrapper in half (as shown above) and pinch the corner edges of the fold together to form a cone type shape. Repeat until you have run out of wrappers. You should have a small amount of cream cheese mixture left over.
Fry cream cheese bites in your hot oil and cook approximately 30seconds each side or until golden brown.
Transfer to a paper towel covered plate to remove excess oil.
Arrange of a plate and serve with sweet chilli sauce.
