
Date Night Chocolate Strawberries are a perfect romantic dessert
These moreish Date Night Chocolate Strawberries are a perfect romantic dessert served alone or with a glass of bubbles or Irish Cream. They are easy to make and are ideal for date nights, Valentine's Day or as a delicious dessert. They are my husband and my favourite date night dessert. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do.

Cooking Time: 4 hours (includes time to set)

Ingredients
400g milk cooking chocolate
400g white cooking chocolate
2 punnets strawberries (1 for the milk chocolate, 1 for the white chocolate)
Method
Line two baking trays with baking paper.
Break the milk and white chocolate into chunks and place in two separate microwave safe bowls.
Heat the milk chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute.
Stir the melted milk chocolate until there is a smooth consistency. If the chocolate has not all melted within 30 seconds of stirring, reheat for 10 seconds in the microwave and stir again.
Heat the white chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute, stir until there is a smooth consistency and set aside.
Working quickly, pick up each strawberry by the stem and leaves and dip into the milk chocolate, rotating in a circular motion until the strawberry is covered in chocolate. Place the chocolate coated strawberries in lines on the baking tray. Leave 3 - 4 tbsp of chocolate in the bowl. Set aside.

Hold the strawberry by the stem and leaves, dip into the milk chocolate and transfer to the baking paper.
Take 1 teaspoon of white chocolate at a time and drizzle on the milk chocolate coated strawberries by gently moving the spoon side to side over the lines of strawberries.

Use a teaspoon to drizzle the white chocolate on the milk chocolate covered strawberries by gently moving side to side over the lines of strawberries until all have drizzle on them.
Place the milk chocolate covered strawberries in the refrigerator to set once all have white chocolate drizzle on them.

All milk covered strawberries should have a white chocolate drizzle before placing in the refrigerator to set.
Working quickly, dip the strawberries from the second punnet in the white chocolate and place on the second baking tray.
Use a teaspoon to drizzle the remaining milk chocolate on the white chocolate coated strawberries. Place in refrigerator to set.

Serve on a share plate with a glass of bubbles or Irish Cream.
Tips
Use good quality cooking chocolate for the best flavour.
Dark chocolate can be used. Microwave for 1 minute and 10 seconds to melt.
Use 3 punnets and make milk, dark and white chocolate covered strawberries.
Sprinkle crushed roasted peanuts or macadamias for a nice crunch.
