Easy Cheese and Vegemite Swirls

This snack or lunch is so easy and quick, and would be an ideal recipe to get children to make with you.

There are only 3 ingredients and it is a simple recipe. Serve it with a few sticks of celery or other vegetables.

I, unfortunately, ate the whole lot in one hit at lunch time, and could not eat dinner -but they were so yummy I could not stop!

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 6 servings

1 sheet puff pastry, defrosted
Grated cheese


Preheat oven to 180C.

Spread the Vegemite evenly all over the sheet of puff pastry.

Sprinkle grated cheese all over the Vegemite. I used about 1/2 -3/4 of a cup of the cheese, depending on how cheesy you like it.


Roll up the pastry to form a log shape.


Cut the pastry into slices of approximately 2 cm wide.


Put baking paper on a tray and place Swirls on the baking tray. I also added a small strip of cheese on top of each, however this is optional.


Bake for about 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and pastry is cooked. Some of the cheese will ooze out and go crispy if you bake for the full 15 minutes.


Eat, rather share!
Can be eaten hot or at room temperature.
