I normally make my pizza dough in a bread maker. However, as this process takes at least 1.5 hours, I often find that I need a quick pizza dough back up for when friends drop in unannounced; for when I'm running late and for when I'm being a disorganised mum. This was has two ingredients, is cheap and has no waiting around. You can be eating your pizza in 15 minutes.
Ingredients Small carton (175ml) of natural yogurt (you can use low fat natural yogurt if preferred)
2 cups of self raising flour
The Finished Product.
GATHER YOUR 2 INGREDIENTS.
Pour yogurt into a large mixing bowl.
Add 1 cup of flour and mix well into the yogurt. Try to bring both components together.
Add the remaining cup bit by bit, until the yogurt and the flour has binded together. I find that near to the end of the binding process, you might want to get your hands dirty and get making the dough with your hands.
Knead the mixture in the bowl until combined. Only add all of the flour to the mixture if it is needed. You are aiming for a bread dough type consistency.
Transfer to a floured work surface and knead for a further minute.
Roll out to desired shape and size (aim for just under 1cm thick), and place on a baking tray/pizza tray.
Roll into your desired shape.
Cover with toppings of your choice. For a quick 10 minute pizza, you can use a ready made pasta sauce as your base, and top with whatever cheese is your preference.
Ready made pasta sauce is a great cheat's pizza base.
Cook for 10 minutes on 200 C or until the cheese is browning and cooked. The more toppings you add the more you might have to cook the pizza for.
