Recently it occurred to me to make quinoa in the rice cooker instead of on the stove top. It worked, so I often make a heap at the beginning of the week that I can add yummy things to it for work lunches.
Sometimes quinoa comes pre-rinsed, but, it's best to rinse it anyway. It has a bitter coating that can be irritating for some people and it doesn't taste good anyway.
You can use stock instead of water or add spices for flavouring during cooking as well.
You can use the rice cooker cup or just a standard measuring cup.
