Fenugreek Paratha

Fenugreek Paratha is a healthy and delicious dish, made of wheat flour and fenugreek leaves. It is a good option reduce the blood sugar level and for reducing cholesterol . It can be relished with pickle and yoghurt.



Ingredients
1 cup wheat flour
1 cup Fenugreek leaves



2 spoon curd
1 tsp cumin seeds
˝ tsp carom seeds
˝ tsp red chilli powder
1 ˝ tsp coriander powder
1 pinch turmeric powder



Oil
Salt to taste

Method

Preparation of dough
Chop the fenugreek leaves into small pieces. Wash it thoroughly and drain the excess water.



Take some wheat flour in a mixing bowl and mix it with the chopped fenugreek. Add curd, carom seeds, cumin seeds, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt to the bowl.



Now add a little water and mix it slowly, to make soft dough. Knead the dough for some time to make it softer.



Add 1/2 tsp of oil on a plate and grease it. Knead the dough for 2-3 minutes more on the greased surface. Now, keep the dough aside for 5 minutes.



Preparation of paratha
Make small balls of the dough, dividing it into equal parts.



Roll the balls into a circular shape, to make the paratha.



Dust the paratha with dry flour, to prevent it from sticking to the base while rolling.
Place a pan and keep it on a low flame. Transfer the parathas, one at a time, on the pan. When the color of the paratha starts changing to brown, flip it to the other side. You may apply a thin layer of oil on it. Flip the paratha again and ensure that it turns golden brown in color from both the sides.



Remove the paratha from the pan and serve them hot, with yoghurt or with the pickle of your choice.
