Fried Whole Tilapia

A quick and easy recipe of deep-fried tilapia fish dish.

Ask your local fish shop to clean the fish for you.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
1 whole tilapia fish, cleaned
sea salt, to season
oil, for deep-frying
lime wedges, to serve
chilli sauce, to serve
steamed jasmine rice, to serve

Method
Wash the fish, pat dry with paper towel and season both sides with sea salt.

Heat oil in a frying pan on high.

Carefully place the fish into the hot oil and deep-fry for 6-7 minutes on each side until the fish is cooked through and crispy on the outside.

Remove the fish with a splotted spoon and drain excess oil on paper towel.

Serve immediately with jasmine rice, chilli sauce and lime wedges.
