Ingredients 500g green prawns
1 tbsp butter
I medium onion
2 tbs crushed garlic
½ tsp curry powder
1/8 cup of grated tasty cheese
Salt & pepper
To prepare the prawns, carefully remove the shells and devein them. This can be down by removing the head first and pulling the surrounding shell away. Make a small cut along where the backbone would be and gently remove the vein. Leave the tails on for decoration.
Put the prawns into a bowl and marinate in the garlic for 10 mins.
In a saucepan sauté the onions in butter until they are soft.
Add the curry powder and cook.
Pour in half of the cream and cheese and simmer.
Put the prawns into the sauce and add the rest of the cream.
The prawns are cooked when the flesh and tails turn pink.
Season with salt and pepper and serve on a bed of boiled rice.
