Green Bean Thread Vermicelli with Sardines

Green Bean Thread Vermicelli is really good with sardines in tomato sauce. It is simple and easy to make but each bite is so tasty. Try this recipe for a quick lunch or dinner.

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 6 servings

2 x 425g tin sardine in tomato sauce
400g tin diced tomatoes
250g packet green bean thread vermicelli
1 tablespoon sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 red chillies, chopped (optional)


Soak the green bean thread vermicelli in tepid water for 5 minutes until they are soft. Drain.

Heat 2 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large frying pan. Add in the minced garlic and chopped red chillies, saute until the garlic is fragrant.

Pour in the sardine and diced tomatoes.

Bring to the boil, add in the sugar and stir with a wooden spoon.

Add in the green bean thread vermicelli and mix well until they are well coated in the sauce.

Serve while warm.
