Ingredients 2 large eggs
1/3 cup buttermilk (or you could use low fat milk)
6 slices bread (white would be best but I used light rye)
3 - 6 pieces short cut bacon, cooked
3 slices cheese
Syrup or jam (optional)
Heat a frypan or sandwich maker and melt 1 tbsp butter.
Mix the eggs with the buttermilk.
Dip the bread in the egg mixture and cook on the hot pan.
Brown one side, turn and put a slice of cheese and some bacon on the cooked side of half of the slices of bread.
Put the other three slices of bread, cooked side down on top of the bacon.
Turn around when the bottom is browned.
Serve cut in half, and add some syrup or jam if required.
