Halloumi Fries

Crispy on the outside with a gooey centre, these fries are perfect for entertaining. Serve them with a spicy dip for a great snack or as a side with your favourite Middle Eastern dish.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 3-4 minutes per batch
Makes: 20

Ingredients
275 g Halloumi
2 tbsp plain flour
1 tsp Harissa spice powder
Salt & pepper
Oil for frying

Method
Cut halloumi into chips.

Combine flour, harissa and seasoning in a shallow bowl.
Coat halloumi chips well in flour mixture.

Heat 2-3 cm of oil in a heavy based pot, over a medium heat.
Cook for 3-4 minutes. Flour coating will puff and turn a lovely golden brown.
Drain on paper towel.
Cool slightly and serve with your favourite spicy dip.
