Homemade granola bars

This is a delicious recipe that kids will enjoy at birthday parties. It's healthy, filling and exciting.

Home Made Granola Bars

Preparation Time: 20 minutes
Cooking Time: minutes
Makes: 10 servings


1 cup fresh dates
¼ cup erythritol, SweetMe (or honey)
¼ cup peanut butter or almond butter
1 cup almonds, roughly chopped
1 ½ cups rolled oats

Toast oats in oven for 15 minutes
Combine oats and dates in food processor and blend for 1 minute
Combine oats, dates and almonds in a bowl
Melt peanut butter and erythritol 1 tsp. of water (or honey) over low heat until fully combined
Stir and pour peanut butter mixture onto oat mixture until everything is fully combined
Line a 8cmx8cm pan with baking paper
Pour mixture into pan and flatten the base evenly
Cover with cling wrap and put in fridge to cool for 15 minutes

This recipe is great for after school or for kids to eat while playing outdoors in their cubbie house.
