Honey & Sesame Glazed Ketu Salmon

Salmon can be quite a plain tasting fish on it's own but is versatile and great with lots of different flavours. The sweetness from the honey and saltiness from the soy sauce are a perfect balance to marinate the salmon. Egg noodles and freshly steamed green vegetables make a great side addition.



Ketu salmon


Preparation Time: 10 minutes (1 hour marinating in fridge)
Cooking Time: 7 minutes
Makes: 2 servings

Ingredients
2 wild Ketu salmon fillets (regular salmon will work just as well)
2 sliced garlic cloves
2 tbsp dark soy sauce
2 tbsp honey
2 tsp toasted sesame oil
1 tsp balsamic vinegar
2 tsp sesame seeds

Method
Mix together everything except for the salmon fillets to create the marinade.



Ketu salmon


Place salmon with skin side upwards in a flat dish.
Pour over the marinade, cover and place in fridge for up to an hour.

Under a medium hot grill, cook the salmon skin side up for around 4 minutes.
Turn over the salmon, add a little extra of the marinade to the top and grill for a further 3 minutes or until cooked through.
Heat the left over marinade in a pan and then pour over the salmon when you serve.
