Ingredients 2 Slices of white bread
Oil for panfrying
Butter & Golden Syrup for serving
Cut the crust off the two slices of bread
Spread some peanut butter onto one slice of bread and sandwich the other slice on top
Whisk the egg until fluffy in a shallow dish/bowl (wide enough to fit the bread into)
Dip the peanut butter sandwich into the whisked egg until all of the egg has been soaked up by the bread (you may need to flip the sandwich over to make sure the egg is soaked up on both sides)
Heat some oil in a small frying pan
Put the egg soaked sandwich into the frying pan and cook until golden and crispy (flipping when required).
Serve with some butter and golden syrup!
Options: If you do not like peanut butter, you can try another spread in the middle. Or if you prefer no filling at all, just use one slice of bread (which means you can make two slices of french toast using the one egg!).
