Jam Tarts

The Queen of Hearts, she made some tarts, all on a summer's day,
She inspired me to make my own recipe, then I gobbled them all away.

I wasn't in the mood for having my head chopped off, so I made my own. Jam tarts are very tasty, and extremely easy to make. You basically only need two ingredients - pastry and jam. I decided to make my own pastry, and have given the instructions here, but if you are feeling lazy, then the shop bought stuff will do too. Based on the brands I used, each tart should be about 43 calories.

Preparation Time: 30 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 15 servings

Ingredients
100g wholemeal flour
50g margarine
2tbsp water
15 tsp jam (whatever flavour you like)

Method
Rub the margarine into the flour for a breadcrumb like consistency.
Add the water to form a dough.
Wrap the pastry dough in cling film and leave to chill in the fridge for ten minutes.
Pre-heat the oven to 170 ༠C/ 150 ༠C fan/325 ༠F/3 Gas.
Roll out the pastry and using a cookie cutter, cut out rounds, and line in cup cake tins.
Put a tsp of jam in each case and bake.
