A simple and easy korean dish that can be served with rice or wrapped in lettuce leaves.
Preparation Time: 15 minutes and 2 hours marination

Makes: 4 servings
Ingredients
500g sliced beef
100ml light soya sauce
4 tbsp sugar
4 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sesame seeds
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 medium brown onion, half sliced and half diced
3 cloves garlic, chopped
1 cup shredded carrot
Method
Lightly roast sesame seeds in a small pan for 3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
Combine soya sauce, sugar, mirin, roasted sesame seeds, sesame oil, chili powder, onion and garlic in a large bowl.
Add beef slices into the marinade and chill for 2 hours.
Pan fry meat till almost cooked and stir in carrots.
Continue frying till fully cooked. Serve with hot rice or fresh lettuce cups.
