As I can no longer eat all the desserts I love, I now have to think of ones that have little added sugar, and this one was great for just one person. I normally cook for 4 and have the same meal several times, and give one away to a friend.
However, this low fat recipe satisfied my sweet tooth!
I have a recipe for a fab icecream that you can just cut a square out of the container to satisfy your sweet tooth. I cant upload photos so you are welcome to put it up here if you like it. I have also put the dairy free recipe alongside it!
250g seville orange marmalade (i used the tall thin jar with grape juice instead of sugar
300ml thickened cream or Aldi thick part of tin of coconut cream
300 m thick greek yogurt or coconut yogurt in tall orange container 6 Woolworth or Coles
1/4 cup of fresh orange juice or naughty but nice orange liqueur!
Beat together. If no icecream maker then whisk and place in a container. You are then supposed to take it out after 2 hours and beat again. I didnt. You can cut a one inch chunk every night and satisfy your sweet urge. Dont get carried away though as its very yummy and several one inches are likely to reach your mouth in one evening!!!
