This recipe is so fun to make with young children. It easily makes 48 regular sized cookies that taste amazing, and, the kids really enjoy placing the M&M's on top.

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 12 minutes (per tray/s)
Makes: 48

Ingredients
150 g butter, cubed, room temperature
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 1/2 cups SR flour
M&M's

Method
Preheat oven to 180C and line 4 baking trays with baking paper.
Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla until pale and creamy. Stir in the egg.

Add the flour and mix until a soft dough is formed.

Roll the dough into 48 teaspoon sized balls, placing the balls on the baking tray (allow plenty of room for spreading).
Use a fork to gently press the dough down. Press 5 M&M's into the top of each cookie.

Bake for 12 minutes, allow the cookies to cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
