This is a personal family favourite. I like to cook it because it's so easy and quick, and so yummy. It's like a dinner treat every time. I usually prepare it the day before so that the duck can be marinated as long as possible. What you'll get is golden crispy skin but juicy duck on the dinner table. Enjoy!
Ingredients 4 duck legs
1/3 cup of honey
3 tbsp of olive oil
2 tbsp of oyster sauce
3 tbsp of fish sauce
1 tsp of five spice
1 tbsp of corn flour mixed with 2 tbsp of water (for gravy)
Pat dry the duck well with kitchen towels.
Mix all the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and marinate the duck, preferably overnight in the fridge, else 2 to 3 hours at room temperature would do.
Grill in a preheated oven at 180 degree celcius for 25 to 30 minutes (depending on how large your duck legs are).
While the duck is grilling, make the gravy by adding the remaining marinated mixture into a hot sauce pan, and stir in corn flour. Bring the mixture to bubbling then simmer or keep warm in a heated gravy pot.
Best served warm with a bed of steam rice and vegies.
