Pan Seared Scallops

These scallops are simple, yet elegant. Perfect for the next dinner party.



Pan seared scallps


Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 5 minutes
Makes: 6 scallops

Ingredients
6 Scallops with shell
1 Tb crushed ginger
1 Tb crushed garlic
1 Tb crushed chilli (optional)
2 Tbs sesame oil
2 Tbs soya sauce
Olive oil
Coriander (garnish - optional)
Spring onion (garnish - optional)
Fried shallots (garnish - optional)

Method
In a small pot, add sesame oil, ginger, garlic, chilli, soya sauce.

Heat on high for 2-3 minutes.

Leave the sauce aside and remove scallops from shells.

Season each scallop with salt and pepper.

Heat a pan on high with olive oil.

Carefully add the scallops to the pan.

Cook on each side for 1 minute.

Once cooked, transfered back to the shells. Ensure to wash the shells with water beforehand.

Add a small amount of the sauce.

Finally garnish with spring onion, coriander and friend shallots.
