Don't pay $4 for a protein ball at a health food shop or café, make them yourself! These peanut butter and chia bites are nutty, soft, full of protein and are a real treat for a quick pick me up throughout the day or a light snack before yoga or a run.
These bites only have 4 ingredients, are super easy to make, are healthy, vegan and gluten-free - so everybody wins.
Ingredients 6 dried dates or 4 medjool
4 tbsp natural peanut butter
2 tsp chia seeds
1 scoop protein powder
Place all the ingredients together in a food processor and pulse until combined.
Roll into 10 tablespoon sized balls.
That's it, enjoy your home made protein balls!
NOTES:Store in refrigerator.
Use either chocolate, vanilla or plain protein powder.
Check protein powder is vegan if you are.
Can use crunchy or smooth peanut butter or experiment with other nut butters such as walnut butter
