Pomegranate and Orange Fruit Salad in a Jar

Fruit salad needn't be boring, but it can be a challenge to get your '5-a-day' when you're on the go. Prepare this fruit salad the night before, and you've got your daily fruit hit that you can pop in your bag, and it won't spill everywhere. Job done.



Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 0 minutes
Makes: 1/2 servings

Ingredients
1 orange
Half a pomegranate
1 apple
Half a lemon



Method
Halve the pomegranate and 'knock' the seeds out into a bowl using the back of a spoon to hit the pomegranate.



Peel the orange and apple and slice into segments and chunks.

Halve the lemon and squeeze the juice of both the lemon and other half of the orange into a jar.



Add the pomegranate and apple and orange chunks to the jar, toss, so all the fruit is coated in this zesty juice.

Replace the lid and take it with you - a healthy snack for on the go.
