500 gm lean pork or beef mince
1 tbsp peanut oil
1 large onion, finely chopped
2-3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
160 gm red cabbage, finely sliced
160 gm white cabbage, finely sliced
1 large carrot, grated
1/4 cup soy sauce
1 tsp honey
1 tsp curry powder
rice or noodles, to serve
These ingredients are delicious and nutritious.
Heat the oil in a large, non-stick frying pan over a medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook for about 2 minutes, until soft.
Turn the heat up to high and stir in the mince. Cook for about 8 minutes, until well browned.
On a medium heat, add the red cabbage, white cabbage and carrot. Stir the vegetables into the mixture until combined. Allow to cook for a further 3 minutes.
Mix in the garlic, soy sauce, honey, curry powder and 1/2 cup water. Stir well and allow to simmer for another 2 minutes.
Serve immediately with either rice or noodles.
