Vegetarian Pasta Bake

This vegetarian pasta bake is deliciously tasty and quick to whip up after a long and tiring day from work. It is easy to prepare and perfect for a dinner for the whole family.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

500g pasta
1x jar of pasta sauce (cream or tomato based)
4 mushrooms
1 large onion
1 teaspoon of sugar

Preheat oven to 180.
Boil water and add one teaspoon of salt and cook pasta until al dente. Drain and leave aside.

Slice mushrooms and onions into thin slices.

Sautee mushrooms in a hot pan over medium heat.

Caramelise onion by adding one teaspoon of sugar and cook over high heat until brown.

Oil a large casserole dish.
Pour pasta, mushrooms, onion and sauce into the dish.

Mix until everything is combined.

Cook in oven for 10-15 minutes.
Serve with cheese.
