This recipe was quite fiddly to make and I would recommend using a good brand of smoked salmon.
The textures of cream cheese, cream and avocado work very well surrounded by layers of smoked salmon and this is a truly impressive dish.
It has to be made the day before so that it can set, and would therefore be ideal if you do not want to do all the work on the day you are having visitors.
I have served it with a mixed salad and made a meal of this.

500 -700 g smoked salmon
250 g Spreadable Cream cheese
Grated rind and juice of a lemon
1 tbsp capers
1 tbsp chopped chives
¾ cup thickened cream
1 tbsp lime juice
Tabasco sauce -to taste
