Choc Chip Oat Slice

This slice is a wonderfully sweet little treat packed full of oaty goodness. The golden syrup and chocolate chips will keep you coming back for more. Perfect for morning teas or school lunch boxes.

Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: 12

1 cup SR flour
1/2 cup caster sugar
1 cup oats
1/4 cup chopped chocolate or chocolate chips
1 egg, whisked
125 g butter
3 tbs golden syrup

Preheat oven to 170C and line your slice tray.
Add flour, sugar, oats, chocolate and whisked egg to a large bowl and stir to combine.
Add the butter and golden syrup to a saucepan over medium heat and stir until melted.

Pour the melted butter mix into your bowl with the flour mix and stir to combine.

Tip the mixture into your prepared slice tray and using your hands or the back of a spoon push down to make sure there are no air bubbles.

Bake for 20 mins. Let cool in plan before cutting into slices.
