Once again I was looking for a dessert or snack that had no added sugar. This one uses dates instead of refined sugar, so even though there is still sugar in it, it is a healthier snack than if you use ordinary sugar!
These are very moorish and just one is enough to satisfy my waning sweet tooth.
: 20 minutes plus 1 hour fridge time
: No cooking required
: About 20 balls
1½ cups skinless hazelnuts
200 g dates, pitted and roughly chopped
2 tbsp cacao
¼ tsp nutmeg, ground
#No added sugar
It will be a crumbly mixture at this stage
