Seriously yummy and great if you need to take something to share for afternoon tea. These smell great while baking and taste delicious warm and get crunchy as they cool.
Use a fork to push down if you want a pattern or a use a finger if you want a rustic look. They can be made lactose and gluten free.
Easy and tasty caramel biscuits
: 10 minutes
: 20 minutes
: 30 biscuits
50g butter (nuttelex if lactose free)
4 tbsp golden syrup
1/3 cup brown sugar
1 1/2 cups self raising flour (gluten free if required)
The caramel will be smooth and thicken slightly as it cools
I sift the flour over the sink to reduce the mess
Roll walnut sized pieces and press with fingers or a fork
