As a self-proclaimed foodie I'm always interested in 'new' foods, so when I found solid bee pollen in my local health food store it was an instant purchase. Bee pollen is in fact a 'superfood': It contains 22 amino acids including the 8 essential ones. It helps fight migraines, acne, rheumatism, hay fever (when taken correctly), the common cold influenza cancer asthma reduces cravings, and fights urinary problems.
With all that in mind I had to add a few teaspoons to my morning smoothie.

: 1 servings
1 tblsp oats
1 tblsp of raw cacao nibs
Kallo soya milk
1 tblsp agave syrup
1 tsp coconut oil
Eaten alone I think bee pollen tastes like crunchier tangy goji berries, but added to a smoothie it gives a slightly nutty, honey flavour, and of course amps up your energy for the day.
