Sausage Rolls

Yummy and easy home made sausage rolls to eat all yourself or share with the family!

Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 20-30 minutes
Makes: 38 rolls

500 grams sausage mince
1 onion, grated
1 carrot, grated
1 tbsp Dried oregano
1 tbsp mixed fresh herbs - parsley, rosemary, thyme
Pinch salt
Pinch pepper
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp barbecue sauce
2 slices of bread, crusts cut off
4 sheets of puff pastry

Preheat a fan forced oven to 180 degrees.

Place bread into a bowl, add warm water until the bread is just covered. Set aside.

Place mince, onion, carrot, herbs, soaked bread, tomato sauce and barbecue sauce into a bowl. Mix until combined.

Place the mince mixture in a row on the puff pastry.

Cut the pastry about 2-3 cm from the row of mince, or enough to cover the mince.

Roll over the mince so it is covered.

Cut into 5 pieces.

Repeat steps until all mixture is used up.

Place on a tray covered in grease proof paper.

Place in oven and bake for 20-30 minutes until golden.
