Pumpkin Puree

A simple accompaniment to numerous dishes, steak, grilled chicken, fish etc.

Enjoy!
Preparation Time: 15 minutes
Cooking Time: 15 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
220 gm pumpkin
30 ml cream
2 tsp butter
1/4 tsp nutmeg
Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Method
Cut pumpkin into 1cm cubes



Ingredients

Cover with water, bring to the boil and cook until tender but not too soft (approx. 15 minutes)
Drain off the water and place into the mouli and pass it through back into the pot.

Add the butter and cream and place back over the heat, season and add nutmeg, now its ready to serve.

I use it as an accompaniment to other dishes instead of always doing a potato mash. It's much sweeter and goes really well with pork and steak. No bib required :-)
I left pumpkin purée after I starting eating more 'solid' food, as a youngster!
Much prefer roasted, or steamed these days.
