by Bliss (follow)
Chicken (692)      Sauce (70)      Gravy (5)
The way your grandma used to make it!

Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 5-10 minutes
Makes: 6 servings

Ingredients
1-2 cups of chicken drippings
3 tbs plain flour
1 cup of hot water

Method
Once you have cooked a roast in oil save the drippings.

Serving Suggestion.

Put the drippings & oil and heat in a saucepan.
Once the fat has liquefied, take off the heat and add the flour.
Mix the flour and fat together to make a thick paste.

Serving Suggestion.

Return to the heat and slowly add the boiling water.
Whisk as you go to get a smooth consistency.

Serving Suggestion.

The amount of water you add will be determined how thick you would like your gravy.
Bring to the boil so the flour cooks.
As the gravy continues to cook, more water will be required.
Once your gravy is the desired consistency it is ready to serve.

Serving Suggestion.
