Sesame Pork Chops with Bok Choy

This recipe makes a complete delicious meal of sweet juicy pork chops and crunchy aromatic bok choy. A balanced meal of meat and vegetable!



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 40 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
For the Pork Chops
4 pork chops
2 tablespoons honey
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
4 garlic cloves, finely diced
2 tablespoons roasted sesame seeds

For the Bok Choy
2 bunches bok choy, cut into smaller pieces
1 tablespoon roasted diced garlic
1 tablespoon oyster sauce

steamed jasmine rice, to serve

Method
Combine the honey, soy sauce, tomato sauce, diced garlic and roasted sesame seeds. Marinate the pork chops for 15 minutes.



Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan. Add in the roasted diced garlic.



Add in the bok choy pieces and pour in 1/4 cup of water. Cover with lid and bring to the boil, leave it to cook in the steam for 3 minutes.



Uncover and pour in the oyster sauce. Mix well until combined.



Preheat the pan and grill the pork chops until cook through.



Serve pork chops on a bed of steamed jasmine rice and bok choy at the sides.
