2/3 cup quick oats
2/3 cup water
½ cup frozen blueberries (if you are lucky enough to have affordable, fresh ones in season, add them at the end).
1 pinch cardomom
1 pinch cinnamon
1 pinch nutmeg
½ tsp honey
1 tb Greek yoghurt
1 tb chopped walnuts (optional- you can also use any other kind of nut, as long as it is unsalted)
Pour oats into a bowl and add the spices, walnuts and frozen blueberries.
Add water and I tb of the yoghurt and stir the mixture.
If using the microwave: Cook for 2 minutes then stir and cook a further minute.
If using the stove: heat, stirring until the porridge absorbs water and comes to desired thickness.
Add your spoonful of honey and yoghurt and stir into the mixture. Sprinkle with a little extra cardomom and enjoy hot.
