Ingredients 1 medium size onion (thinly sliced)
3/4 cup all purpose flour
2 tbsp corn flour
2 tsp red chillie powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp ssafoetida
2 tsp ginger- garlic paste
3 curry leaves
1/4 tsp dried parsley
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
2/3 cup water
Spring onion to garnish (optional)
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Slice the onion.
Prepare the batter. In a bowl mix all purpose flour,corn flour,salt and ginger-garlic paste.
Then add chillie powder, turmeric powder and asafoetida into the bowl.
Now add the apple cider vinegar, curry leaves and water. Mix well to form a very thick batter.
Add the sliced onion to the batter. Mix well, cover and let it sit for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan in high heat. Add the onion - batter mixture to oil, 1 tbsp each.
Cook until golden brown, flipping the sides. Remove from oil.
