Stir-Fried Minced Pork & Asparagus

This recipe makes a simple delicious stir-fry dish of minced pork & asparagus. It is so good with steamed rice.



Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes
Makes: 4 servings

Ingredients
500g pork mince
2 bunches asparagus, cut into small pieces
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon oyster sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 tablespoon Shao Xing cooking wine
few dashes white pepper powder
steamed jasmine rice, to serve

Method
Combine the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, Shao Xing cooking wine and white pepper powder in a bowl. Add in the pork mince and marinate for 10 minutes.



In a saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil and add in the minced garlic. Fry until golden brown and fragrant.



Add in the marinated pork mince and stir fry until they are no longer pink.



Add in the asparagus pieces and pour in a half cup of water. Bring to the boil and cook until they are tender but still crunchy.



Serve on a bowl of steamed jasmine rice.
