Ingredients 350g milk, white or dark chocolate melts or cooking chocolate chopped into pieces.
2 punnets of large strawberries or if you are picking your own approximately 500g strawberries
Patty cases (optional)
Crushed nuts such as pecan nuts, wallnuts, cashew nuts or hazelnuts (optional)
Freshly picked strawberies
Line baking tray or plate with baking paper
Place chocolate in a microwave dish and melt as per instructions on the pack. Usually start with 30 seconds, then mix chocolate with spoon, then another 10 seconds, stir again and continue heating until chocolate is completely melted.
Alternatively you can melt chocolate on the stove using a large saucepan with a few centimetres of water. Bring to boil then reduce the heat. Place chocolate in a bowl and continue stirring until chocolate melts.
Carefully dip strawberries into chocolate.
Place strawberries onto prepared tray and into the fridge to set.
To serve, you can place the strawberries into patty cases.
Tip: For a bit of fun, dip some strawberries in white chocolate, others in milk or dark chocolate. Also if you like nuts, you can sprinkle crushed nuts over the melted chocolate before it sets.
